THSG-November RUG WEAVING Study Group

The Rug Weavers Study Group meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month in a hybrid meeting, with some members in the Week’s room at Grace St. Paul’s church and some via Zoom.
Our next meeting will be November 9 at 10 a.m. If anyone is interested in the meetings and is not currently getting announcements via email, please contact Shelley at shelleychaseolsen@gmail.com and we’ll get you on the mailing list.
Our focus for the year will be to weave a piece of our choice in honor of one of our long time members, Sarah Sammons, who recently passed away. We’re going to weave with her favorite colors (HOT ones – reds, yellows and oranges) and liberal use of texture.
Upcoming events include a trip to the Nizhoni Ranch Gallery (Antique and Contemporary Navajo Rugs) in Sonoita for our December 14 meeting. We will be limiting our group to 12, with first dibs going to the rug weavers, but if there is room we’d love to have other study group members attend.
