THSG-April WEARABLE ARTS Study Group

Thursday, April 28, 2022, the Wearable Arts Study Group will meet at 10:00am at Grace St. Paul Episcopal Church in the Weeks Room as well as on-line via Zoom. Our focus for this year is Embellishment of finished garments. We did not have a meeting in March due to conflicts with a guild workshop so the April meeting will be what was planned for March.
For the April meeting, Sandy Gold will be presenting some of the techniques made famous by Natalie Chanin of Alabama Chanin. We will do a small sample of reverse applique with pieces of knit fabric. For those in the Weeks Room there will be some materials to use to try out your hand on this technique. For those at home a materials list will be sent out prior to the meeting.
GSP continues to ask you to wear a mask in the open areas but it can be removed once you are in the Weeks Room if you like. The Zoom link will be sent in the monthly reminder from your Study Group Co-Leader Sandy Gold sandy@southwestgold.com.
