Kessenich 8H/10T Floor Loom
46″ weaving width, made of red oak. Folds to depth of 28″ for transport and storage. When in use, dimensions are 62″ wide, 52″ deep, 40″ high. Strong and stable, heavy enough for rug weaving. Comes with 2 reeds (6 dent and 10 dent). This one is in great shape.
$1400
Louet David 2 floor loom 8H/10T
27″ (70 cm) weaving width and 8 shafts. The David is a sinking shed jack loom with a special system of cams and pulleys that results in easy treadling and a wide shed. This very beautiful one has a sliding beater, Texsolv heddles (approx 200 per shaft), removable front/back beam, 10 dent reed, built-in raddle, and lights on the underside of the castle. Folds for transport. A lot of functional features in a compact loom!
$2000
Schacht Standard Floor Loom 8H/10T
45″ weaving width, in super nice condition, with a high castle tray and mounted magnifying light. The back beam folds in for transport. Also includes a raddle, 10 dent and 12 dent reeds, lease sticks and warp separator sticks. Also includes an adjustable bench.
$2000
Rigid Heddle Loom with Stand
Ashford rigid heddle loom with 32″ weaving width and a 7.5 DPI heddle. Also has a matching stand with convenient side shelves. Includes accessories, a manual, and two books. In very good condition, appears to be minimally used. The stiff plastic connectors for the tie-on bars should be replaced. This loom is simpler to set up than a multi-shaft floor loom, and its wide width provides the option for larger weaving projects.
$260
Ashford Traditional Spinning Wheel
Very popular single treadle single drive spinning wheel from New Zealand. This one is older, but has newly replaced drive band, brake band/springs, and leather conrod connector. Wheel is a bit wobbly due to a small gap in the hub and a wonky spindle. The wood would enjoy some cleaning and conditioning. Comes with separate Lazy Kate and 3 bobbins.
$80
Antique 4H Counterbalance Loom
Very beautiful 4H/6T loom, 30″ weaving width, with removable front and back beams, original crank, hand-tied string heddles and two reeds. Loom was handmade by donor’s grandfather nearly 100 years ago. Carpentry workmanship is remarkable, and wood condition is very good. Shafts slide in unusual metal tracks, and need some adjustments to lift smoothly. Loom is sturdy but not terribly heavy. It does not fold smaller, so will need a truck or van or trailer for transport.
$200
Vintage Spinning Wheel – “Accelerator” style
Vintage double treadle accelerator spinning wheel with 2 ratios, designed for fast, fine spinning. This beauty is unmarked, but similar to other old Quebec double wheels. The donor said it is at least 50 years old and possibly 100. Size is 38″H x 36″W x 14″D . Wheel is functional and in remarkable condition for its age, but will likely need some adjustments. Best for an intermediate or advanced spinner who is interested in a historic wheel. The link below shows a nearly identical wheel in Maine, named Pierre Lapin (Peter Rabbit) by its owner.
